Opening Public Disco Festival weekend, we’re bringing together artists, organizers, curators, and community builders for an open conversation about the role of underground culture in city life.

Rising costs, policy barriers, public pushback, and the ongoing precarity of independent venues make it harder to hold space for culture. So what would it look like for cities, funders, and communities to recognize music and gathering as part of our civic infrastructure?
